SNSY, (born Malusi Ngqwemla) is s an alternative/R&B singer-songwriter, who fuses hip-hop, R&B, and worldbeat rhythms to create his signature soothing sound. Born and raised in Khayalitsha in the Western Cape, he grew up listening to the likes of Lucky Dube, Brenda Fassie, Mandoza, AKA, Lauryn Hill and Drake. The young, gifted singer/rapper made his live performance debut at the of age of 16 at a school concert and hasn't looked back since. With Lauryn Hill as one of his major influences, SNSY had sharpened his rapping and singing skills to a similar degree.

On the 10th of November, SNSY  dropped the project, SIMI EP, which follows the release of its lead single of the same name.

SIMI EP  is an indie/alternative, free fall of an audio experience.  A sound pocket of Dream pop, hip hop and R&B elements. SNSY  speaks on his desires, views on his surroundings, the trippy sensation of love and keeping himself focused on the prize. For some sort of reference, look no further than singers, Sampha and James Blake. The production on the project slow dances with his vocals,  really one of those EP's you can play to set the mood or play in the background while studying. South Africa is blessed with diamonds and SNSY  is definitely one of those overlooked ones that you certainly keep to yourself upon discovery. A career destined for greatness.
